General overview of Deathly Hallows:
Harry Potter has just turned 17 years old. However, for the first time ever, his plans are not to return to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, where he is due to see through his seventh and final year with his friends Ron and Hermione. Instead, he is to go on a hunt for Voldemort’s horcruxes with his companions, locate them, and destroy them… in order for him to finally defeat Voldemort. The book begins with Harry parting with his only living relatives, the Dursley’s. After his family departs from their home, Number 4 Privet Drive, Harry’s guard arrives. The plan is for Harry to be transported to a safe house, where he can then be safely moved to The Burrow. Things do not go according to plan however, when Harry and his entourage are surrounded by Death Eater’s moments after they set off for their destination. Upon arriving at the safe house, Harry takes a portkey to The Burrow, where he is relieved to hear upon arriving that many of his guard have returned back safely.
Harry remains at The Burrow with his friends for a short period of time to attend Ron’s brother’s wedding. Things go disastrous however, and Harry, Ron and Hermione only narrowly escape. They hide at Number 12 Grimmauld Place, Harry’s godfather’s old residence. Leaving the house in search for horcruxes, Harry, Ron and Hermione visit the strange Xenopilius Lovegood, where they learn about the strange Deathly Hallows. Taken further into their search for horcruxes, Harry, Ron and Hermione go on their most daring adventure yet. Breaking into Gringott’s Wizarding Bank and infiltrating the Ministry of Magic, their quest soon leads them to the Battle of Hogwarts, probably one of the most exciting and emotional chapters in the whole series.
In this most fantastic read, all your theories will be answered, and you’ll meet up with and be introduced to so many new characters, including Dobby the house-elf, Professor Umbridge and even a relative of Dumbledore!
